Mphela and Associates Attorneys Inc. previously trading as Mike Mphela Attorneys, is an old dynamic wholly Black-owned law firm, whose core and principal business is personal injury and general litigation in South Africa. We have a collective post-admission experience of 51 years between the Directors and associates.
For more than two decades, we have managed to attain and maintain a 100% success rate in more than 15,000 accident and personal injury claims that we have handled. The practice was established in 1986 by the Managing Director Mr. Maditsi Mphela who has a vast experience in our field of specialization. Mr. Mphela has represented numerous clients on several high-profile cases involving personal injury, Matrimonial Litigation, Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, and Debt collection. The law firm serves as a Legalwise satellite office from 2002 to 2007. The second Director, Tshepho Matlala has an excellent track record in Personal Injury, Labour Law, and General litigation and has represented various Municipalities, companies, and individuals for the 20 years that he has been with the practice.
The practice has reached a milestone of 25,000 clients in its 37 years of existence. The practice has developed good professional relationships with some of the country’s highly respected advocates, medical practitioners, assessors, and investigators. Thereby positioning itself to offer quality and excellent services to its clientele.
The business has grown from having three employees to eighty-two (82) permanent employees for the three offices in Groblersdal, Polokwane, and Pretoria. There are eight (8) practicing attorneys. Women from previously disadvantaged societies account for more than 60% of our employees.
